Some Big News for Sweetest Stitch!
The Sweetest Stitch was incorporated in 2010 to value handcrafted work and those who create. We are appreciative of the time and talent it takes to craft, and established a venue that would market and sell these itemsin a manner to be reflective of that.
Here’s the news: Recently, TSS was contacted by a product reviewer to review items listed. This reviewer has a very large following and over 24,000 Facebook fans. The possibilities of this review are endless. She will be reviewing our handmade dolls, courtesy of our vendor, Shannon LaHaise. If you have not seen these dolls, you must! All are exceptionally well made and reasonably priced. Shannon customizes each doll to favor your child’s skin tone, hair and eye color, and offers a multitude of fabric choices for clothing options. She even has a Super Mikk for the boys, who are so often left out.
TSS is extremely excited about this new development and we are anxious for the review to be published. It’s a fitting end to our first year in business. Stay tuned for further developments during the next 365 days and for the link to the review!

The Art of Quilling
Designs by Leigh Ann from New Jersey |
Ever wonder about Quilling? Here’s the scoop!
Quilling involves creating objects by rolling, and shaping strips of paper. The paper is
coiled around a quill to create leaves, flowers and other ornamental shapes and is held into place by glue.
Quilling is often used for scrapbooking embellishments and décor.
Leigh Ann is a master quiller and can create almost any object. See all of Leigh Ann’s

Featured Artist: Laura
Laura |
Meet Laura,
She has a love of crafting and scrapbooking, but her love story with creating began long ago. She stated, " I have been crafting for many years but started scrapbooking when my daughter was born 7 years ago. I wanted to create something special and lasting with her pictures." And with that, her dream of handcrafted art boxes was born.
When asked how she came about making these great and unique pieces of art, Laura said, "Trial and error! My first pages were awful but I kept them anyway, and as time went by, I got better. I looked at the magazines and the tools available at the stores to determine what I might like to try. Over time I have found what I like and usually stick with it." We love her honesty as we all have crafts that we would like to do over.
Laura's favorite work is creating nursery art boxes. "I like to make nursery art boxes because first, babies especially, are important to me. I went through a great deal of pain and emotional pain just to conceive and my daughter truly is a miracle. So many things could have gone wrong even with my pregnancy, but God kept us both safe. So, when I know of a mom who has struggled, I love to make her child something special for his or her room. It brings back the joy I had when my daughter was born, each time I make an art box for someone else."
We think Laura is the best around! Check out all of her work in the featured section on our site.
